International Dialing 

Calling France from the United States/Canada explained:

• 011 -  exit code; must be dialed first for all international calls made from the USA or Canada
• 33 - Country Code for France
• phone number - 9 digits
• US/Canada to France international dialing format : 011 + 33 + ?? ??? ????

Calling the UK from the United States explained:

• 011 - exit code; must be dialed first for all international calls made from the USA or Canada
• 44 - Country Code for UK/England
• area code - 2 - 5 digit area codes
• phone number - 4 - 8 digits; in most cases area code and number total 10 digits in the UK
